    Description

    Up for auction is a really nice salt and pepper set featuring Indianapolis Motor Speedway. It pictures race cars, checkered flags and the Indy logo. There is a gold label on the bottom that says “by Karol Western Los Angeles, California MADE IN KOREA”. They are almost 2 ½ inches tall, 1-5/8 inches in diameter at the bottom, and together weigh 4-3/8 ounces. Condition wise, I see some minor scratches and scuffs on the decoration, slight wear on their bottoms, and little glaze pits and bumps (manufacturing flaws). According to my research, Indianapolis Motor Speedway is the home to the Indy 500 and the Brickyard 400. It was built in 1909 and has the largest seating capacity of any sports venue in the world!
