    Radius Zip Tie
This tie is the same as all other ties except that it has a radius on the head.  The reason for this is so that you can zip tie a hose or fuel line and keep it tight all the way around.  Ordinary zip ties leave a small spot where the tie doesn't make contact on the round object.  Johnson & Evinrude outboards use these on many fuel hose connections.
    Replaces: 320107, 262081, 405590, 3852158, 500079, 318250, 314681, 315633, 5030347
I have a 2005 Mercury 60HP 2 stroke. Three cylinders with 3 carbs. I have had to clean the carbs more than once. The small lines are clamped with these radius head zip ties. There is no room for other style clamps. It takes about 20 clamps if every hose is removed. They are hard to find in my small town. I figured other people have the same issue finding these special clamps. Most mechanics say these are for low pressure lines like used on carburetor systems.
The proper way to get the hose clamp tight is to hold the head of the tie in place with a flat blade screw driver and pull on the tail with pliers. They are very strong and will clamp evenly around the hose because of the radius head.
This auction is for a pack of 33. I also offer a 100, 100 and 1000 size packages.

Zip clamps how to remove and some installation advise from a boat mechanic:
"You can easily cut the ties off by using diagonal wire cutters. Hold the blade perpendicular to the hose and snip the head. You'll never touch the hose. The best dikes to use for this are flush cutters but just about any old pair will work.
Tightening is often abused. The hose, when installed on a properly sized barb, will have a hard time coming off by itself, let alone with a tie or clamp in place. All that is needed is a little pressure to reduce the diameter so the tie acts as a stop to keep the hose in place rather than as a force to seal the hose to the barb. The elasticity of the hose creates the seal. Crank down to tight on some plastic barbs and they will deform or break.
Also, many barbs are too short to install a clamp on with the proper clearances. Installing a clamp on a too short barb can lead to leaks."
