Mauchline Photographic Ware Mini Writing Desk or Salesman Sample Melrose Abbey

I have the honor and privilege of selling the collection of an avid and discerning collector of Mauchline Ware consisting of transfer, checker, Parian and tartan ware with a smattering of a few other finishes. I will be listing them in bite size batches over the next several months so that over time collectors can absorb the depth and breadth of the collection. This gentleman amassed an amazing collection of pieces, some of which I have never seen
before,
and I have seen many collectors' collections over the years. This Photographic Ware miniature writing desk or slope may have been a salesman sample or just a neat small souvenir to take back home from Melrose Abbey. It has a porcelain inkwell.
It is in excellent overall condition and
I see no noticeable flaws or damage. B

The piece measures 7.75" long or wide, 5.5" deep
