Mauchline Transfer Ware Cylindrical Box Stirling Castle Martyrs Wallace Monument

I have the honor and privilege of selling the collection of an avid and discerning collector of Mauchline Ware consisting of transfer, checker, Parian and tartan ware with a smattering of a few other finishes. I will be listing them in bite size batches over the next several months so that over time collectors can absorb the depth and breadth of the collection. This gentleman amassed an amazing collection of pieces, some of which I have never seen
before,
and I have seen many collectors' collections over the years. This Mauchline Transfer Ware cylindrical box probably had a use related to sewing or knitting. It has a large transfer of Stirling Castle on the lid,
along with the words Made of the Wood Which Grew on The Field of Bannock Burn.
Directly underneath it says Scots Wha Hae Wi Wallace Bled. There are two other transfers, one of Martyrs Monument and the other of Wallace Monument, Abbey Braid.
It is in excellent overall condition. The dark spot on the lid is not damage, but an imperfection in the wood.
Otherwise, I see no noticeable flaws or damage. B

The piece measures 3 7/8 in diameter
