    Description

    I have the honor and privilege of selling the collection of an avid and discerning collector of Mauchline Ware consisting of transfer, checker, Parian and tartan ware with a smattering of a few other finishes. I will be listing them in bite size batches over the next several months so that over time collectors can absorb the depth and breadth of the collection. This gentleman amassed an amazing collection of pieces, some of which I have never seen before and I have seen many collectors' collections over the years. This oval shape brooch has a transfer of Murthly Castle, a fourteenth century castle
    with magnificent grounds still used today as a wedding an event site.
    The clasp mechanism is intact and is in good working order. What makes this brooch so unusual is the gold tone trim and the metal back. I personally have never seen a brooch like this before. It is in excellent overall condition with no visible signs of wear,
