    Description

I have the honor and privilege of selling the collection of an avid and discerning collector of Mauchline Ware consisting of transfer, checker, Parian and tartan ware with a smattering of a few other finishes. I will be listing them in bite size batches over the next several months so that over time collectors can absorb the depth and breadth of the collection. This gentleman amassed an amazing collection of pieces, some of which I have never seen before and I have seen many collectors' collections over the years. This lovely rectangular picture frame, with an oval opening, would be for the display of photographs, as is shown. It has a hinged easel stand and a transfer of

    .
Drumtochty Castle is a neo-gothic style castellated mansion erected in the year 1812 approximately three kilometres northwest of Auchenblae, Kincardineshire, Scotland. This building stands on the southern edge of Drumtochty Forest. It was built to the designs of James Gillespie Graham with further extensions c. 1815.
The frame is in overall excellent condition, I see only minimal signs of wear and no serious damage.
This picture frame measures approximately 5 1/16" wide and 8 5/8" tall. White spots, if any, are camera glare. Successful buyer is responsible for shipping and insurance and payment must be received within ten (10) business days of the close of the auction or the sale may be voided. Thanks for your interest and good luck!
