Mauchline Transfer Ware Trinket Box Southsea Scallops/Leaves Alternative Finish

I have the honor and privilege of selling the collection of an avid and discerning collector of Mauchline Ware consisting of transfer, checker, Parian and tartan ware with a smattering of a few other finishes. I will be listing them in bite size batches over the next several months so that over time collectors can absorb the depth and breadth of the collection. This gentleman amassed an amazing collection of pieces, some of which I have never seen
before,
and I have seen many collectors' collections over the years. This Mauchline Transfer Ware trinket box has a lovely Transfer of, The Pier, Southsea, Hants,
which
is a seaside resort near Portsmouth, England. Surrounding the transfer on the cover is an alternative finish
composed
of scallop shells and various
leaves forming
an attractive border. This is one of my personal favorite finishes or motifs.
It is in excellent overall condition with only a small ding on the back and ever so slight warping of the cover, though from the
front
it closes very tightly. Otherwise, I see no noticeable flaws or  damage. B
ut please look at the pictures to determine the overall condition.
The piece measures 4.5" wide or long,  3 3/16" deep
and 1.75" tall. White spots, if any, are camera glare. Successful buyer is responsible for shipping and insurance and payment must be received within ten (10) business days of the close of the auction or the sale may be voided. Thanks for your interest and good luck!
