    Description

    I have the honor and privilege of selling the collection of an avid and discerning collector of Mauchline Ware consisting of transfer, checker, Parian and tartan ware with a smattering of a few other finishes. I will be listing them in bite size batches over the next several months so that over time collectors can absorb the depth and breadth of the collection. This gentleman amassed an amazing collection of pieces, some of which I have never seen before and I have seen many collectors' collections over the years. This
    lovely black lacquer ware hinged box was sold as a photographic souvenir of Newcastle. The photos, which unfold in accordion fashion, are of various places within the region. The album is in excellent overall condition with no apparent flaws, other than the partial rubbing away of the E in Newcastle, but please peruse the photos to assess the condition of the piece before bidding. It measures  3 5/8" long or wide, 2 9/16" deep and it is 1" high. White spots, if any, are camera glare.
