Up for sale is a brand new, never-opened Retrode 2 bundle that includes the base unit, Gameboy adapter, and Sega adapter.
The packaging on the Retrode may be slightly frayed or torn but the device itself is new and never used.
One of the most valuable features of this device (in my opinion) is that
it allows you to back up the save files on your physical cartridges
. This is the easiest method for transferring save files or creating ROM dumps. When you connect it to your computer, it functions similarly to a flash drive where you can drag and drop your save files back and forth and create ROMs on your computer directly from your cartridge. Backing up your saves is important in case you want to save them forever, or if you want to swap out the battery in your cartridge. Most of those batteries were manufactured in the early 90's so their lifespans are quickly coming to an end. Don't delay any more.

Important
: You need to change the voltage setting on the Retrode 2 base unit depending on which type of game you are playing. With the Sega adapter, voltage should be set to 5v. And for the Gameboy adapter, you should keep it at 5v for Gameboy Classic and Gameboy Color games, but you need to change it to 3.3v for Gameboy Advance games. Failure to use the correct voltage could possibly cause damage to the unit.
