    Description

    DESCRIPTION:
This is a rare Hotel Washington Indianapolis Indiana souvenir spoon. Measures about 6" long.
Has an embossed image of George Washington in the bowl surrounded by the words "Truthfully A Good Hotel". Continuing the George Washington cherry tree theme, the end of the handle is shaped like an axe.
The Hotel Washington was built in 1917 and ceased operations as a hotel in 1963. The building still stands today and is on the Historic Register.
The handle is marked on the back "The Greenduck Co Mastercrafters In Metal Chicago".
Very good condition. Small flaw in the metal casting at one corner of the axe.
