If you don't have extra A/V cables to configure the PS2 output to component, do the following:
Make sure that the ps2tohdmi is connected to the TV and you have selected the correct HDMI input in your TV

Connect the usb power cable to device, then turn on PS2, wait 10 seconds, then press down, press X, wait 5 seconds, press down 3 times, press X, press left, press X.
The video should work now, if not, turn off the console and try again.
