It is an improved version over the Pioneer version in a number of ways
1) The pcb material is much better, higher temp FR4 epoxy glass construction, LPI solder mask, double sided THT, silkscreen legends
2) Changed the +/-68V regulators to be the same as was done on the SX-1980 re-design which uses a constant current source using LEDs/BJTs instead of the failure prone jfets, 50W MJE1503x bjts
3) Panasonic or Omron 16A relay, all new semi's, precision resistors, Nichicon and Vishay 105c ecaps. All current production parts
4) 3 terminal regulators for the +/-32V and +13V reg, which are precision regs with over current protection
5) Higher performance heatsinks to run the devices cooler
6) Easy installation/service, using terminal blocks with screws downs for binding
