These are the correct .055 amp for Tascam, and many other decks - most others offered on eBay are .100 - .200 amp.
They may be soldered in place or installed in existing lamp end caps, as desired, in order to maintain original appearance.

Heat one end with heat gun or other suitable means.
Following removal of first end cap, grasp lead and heat other end for removal.
Slightly expand one end cap if necessary in order to facilitate installation. Not every lamp will require this step, about half fit just fine with no modification.
Tin leads, install end caps, and solder as usual.
