The 56-page guidebook includes 20 photographs & illustrations, along with an eight-page list of works of art in the state apartments, as well as a ground plan for the castle and a map of the surrounding great park (from the Lord Chamberlain/Her Majesty the Queen’s Printers and Stationers, 1971); and a colorful pictorial guide to Windsor Castle, 32 pages and 36 photographs that tell the story of Europe’s longest-occupied castle, originally built by William the Conqueror after the Norman Invasion in 1066 (from Pitkin Pictorials, 1977).
