Includes a pictorial guidebook for Buckingham Palace, Queen Elizabeth’s official residence in London (from Pitkin Pictorials, 1972); and a really cool book entitled Britain’s Kings & Queens, a quick overview of every British monarch, from Ethelbert, the first King of the English (in power from 827-839), through the Norman Conquest in 1066, the House of Plantagenet (1154-1399), the House of Lancaster (1399-1461), the House of York (1461-1485), the House of Tudor (1485-1603), the House of Stuart (1603-1649, 1660-1714) (the English Commonwealth marked the 11-year interregnum), the House of Hanover (1714-1901), the House of Saxe-Coburg Gotha (1901-1936) and the House of Windsor (1910-??) (from Pitkin Pictorials Ltd, 1974).
