Vintage Manor Wear Pottery Cleethorpes, England Matches Boot.  Good Vintage Condition!  Some wear from use.  Red border has rubbed off in places.
Cleethorpes is a seaside resort town in North East Lincoinshire, England.
This Manor Ware came from there.  It's from the 1940's.  They are collector's items. Each piece is collected from the town/place and will have the name of the town/place and a hand painted picture or flowers.  This boot has the English Manor painted on the side.  It was used to hold matches.  On the the back of this piece there is a paper where you would strike the matches.  On the side engraved is Reg No. 959279  Boot measures approx 3 1/2" across.  See pictures for these details and more.
