Welcome to our listing for this
vintage (1970s era) small historic doll, a British guard/ Queen's guard, wearing the ceremonial red uniform and faux furry hat. Nice detailing on his costume!
Belonged to beloved family member who collected international/historic/souvenir dolls and memorabilia.   Was stored in a smoke-free home for many years- originally was on display for a time too.  PLEASE READ BELOW FOR ITEM SPECIFICS- DOLL HAS SOME MINOR DAMAGE-
DOLL SHOWS IT'S AGE BUT APPEARS TO HAVE MANY OF IT'S ACCESSORIES THAT ARE OFTEN MISSING WITH THESE DOLLS.

SIZE:
The Guard Doll measures about 8.5 inches in height.  He's a good size for display. 
Includes a plastic Carlson doll stand as well (band on this may also be stretched out, as it's elasticized) and some deep scratches/cracks in the plastic heart shaped stand which says made in the USA.  This may not be original to the doll- but it was displayed with the doll and from the same era.
ITEM SPECIFICS AND CONDITION:
PLEASE NOTE- DOLL NEEDS SOME REPAIR/TLC- MAY BE INCOMPLETE.  THE "DRUMSTICKS" LOOK LIKE THEY MAY HAVE BEEN BROKEN/CHIPPED ON THE ENDS, OR POSSIBLY MISSING PARTS- I HAVE NO WAY TO TELL BUT THE DOLL DOES HAVE HIS LITTLE DRUM ACCESSORY AND TWO SMALL STICKS HELD TO HIS HANDS WITH ANCIENT RUBBER BANDS.  (The drum feels like cardboard or a thin plastic). The doll has not been undressed and it's possible his uniform/costume is holding his limbs in, because it's unlikely the bands are still in tact and they feel a little loose. His uniform is made of a sturdy felt material. His "shoes" have some damage (painting peeling, cracking off the bottom- looks like the "shoes" were painted on his feet. Some dust in crevices and on uniform, has not been taken off or cleaned.
Would be adorable addition to a room with a British vibe, vintage doll/international/travel souvenir collection, in a collection celebrating London, England, as decor for a British themed party or tea-party and more!
