Sixteen years ago, I was fortunate enough to inherit a rather eclectic collection of jewelry from my Grandmother who would have celebrated her 107
th
birthday this last September. Her jewelry spans the late 1800’s to the 1970’s-1980’s and showcases her change in tastes over the decades. I believe a few of the pieces may have actually belonged to my Great-Grandmother or Great Uncle’s wife.

GENERAL DESCRIPTION: Antique Vintage Mid-to-Late 1800’s to Early 1900’s Dress Clip with Multicolor “Fruit Salad” Rhinestones on Brass-tone Metal setting.
Delightful clusters of multicolored “Grapes” on a Pierced Brass-tone Pot-Metal setting of “Leaves” evokes an Arts & Crafts, Art Nouveau sensibility. Amazing Colors are a Perfect Compliment for one’s Fall & Winter wardrobe.
Wonderfully Versatile, Dress Clips can be employed in a multitude of Ways from Pendants to Shoe Embellishments to Blazer Breast-Pockets (especially with a silk pocket square) to Scarfs to Hair Adornments, even as Faux Purse Clasps. Personally, one of my Favorite Pieces of Vintage Jewelry. Of all the pieces I inherited the Dress Clips were the pieces I used the most.
As a reminder the Listing is only for the Dress Clip. The antique brass chain is Not included and only used for demonstration purposes.

HALLMARK: No Hallmarks. Date attribution based on design form and materials. However, I am not an expert so please make your own determination on age.

CONDITION: Dress Clip is Good to Very Good Preowned, Antique Condition. The glue-set Rhinestones are Bright & Lively. However, there are Three (3) Missing Rhinestones: Two (2) Pink and One (1) Green as shown in the close-ups in Photo #6.
The Setting is overall in Good to Very Good condition with rubs, dents, dings and/or scratches commensurate with Age. There is one area next to one of the Purple-colored grapes that is pushed in; but the stone appears secure. Clip Back is in good working order with all 6 securing-prongs in place.
Minor dust and/or dirt, would benefit from a cleaning.
